I first wrote about Greater Nevada Credit Union’s (GNCU) Aspire Checking account in 2009. In the past eight years there have been several changes, including an account name change, APY decreases/increases, a lowered balance cap, and an expansion of the field of membership.
The Aspire Checking account currently earns 3.00% APY on qualifying balances up to $15k. Qualifying balances of $15k+ earn 0.05% APY, as do non-qualifying balances.
